Why owners choose us when it's urgent
Emergencies rarely come with notice. A refrigeration unit fails in January, a truck's gearbox goes on the Hume, a storm takes out a shopfront, or a major customer goes into administration owing you money.
Our job is to put the money in your account quickly so the business keeps trading while you sort out the longer-term fix, whether that's an insurance claim, a new contract or recovering the debt.
Who it suits
- Sudden equipment or vehicle failure

A transport operator with a truck off the road
A Queensland linehaul operator's prime mover needed a $42,000 engine rebuild, with contracts at risk if it stayed off the road for more than a week. We funded a short cash-flow loan the same day, and the truck was back on the Bruce Highway five days later.
What kind of emergency is it?
The right first move depends on the emergency, and it is not always a loan. This is the order we would work in.
| Emergency | Do this first | Where funding fits |
|---|---|---|
| Equipment or vehicle breakdown | Get a written quote for repair and for replacement | A cash-flow loan for the repair the same day; asset finance if it is being replaced |
| Flood, fire or storm | Notify your insurer and check government disaster support | Bridge the gap until the claim or grant pays |
| ATO garnishee or director penalty notice | Read the notice for the exact deadline | A property-secured payout, often inside a day |
| Statutory demand | Diary the 21 days; if the debt is disputed, call a lawyer today | Pay or secure the debt if it is genuinely owed |
| Payroll you cannot meet | Work out the full number: wages, PAYG withholding and super | A cash-flow loan or line of credit |
| A major customer collapses owing you money | Lodge your claim with the administrator and protect this week’s payroll | A cash-flow loan or invoice finance on your other debtors |
Help worth checking before you borrow
An emergency loan is the right answer when the deadline is close and the money is coming. It is not the only help available, and some of the alternatives cost nothing.
- Disaster support. Federal and state governments run grants and concessional loans after declared disasters. Start at business.gov.au.
- The ATO. Businesses owing $200,000 or less can usually set up a payment plan themselves online. Interest keeps running, but a plan in place is worth more than one that has failed. See can’t pay your BAS on time.
- Your insurer. Ask whether an interim payment is possible on an accepted claim.
- Your landlord and key suppliers. A phone call before the due date buys more goodwill than one after it.
Where funding does fit, it is usually as the bridge: money now, repaid by the insurance payout, the grant, the debtor or a refinance when the dust settles.
How an emergency loan gets repaid
Every loan we write has an exit — the event that repays it. In an emergency the exit is usually already in sight, which is exactly why a short loan makes sense.
| Emergency | Usual exit |
|---|---|
| Breakdown or damage | Trading revenue once running again, or the insurance claim |
| ATO enforcement | Trading cash flow, or a bank refinance once the debt is cleared and the file is clean |
| Customer collapse | The administrator’s dividend, other debtors, or trading |
| Disaster | Insurance, grants or concessional loans |
If you cannot name the exit, that is worth pausing on before you borrow. Money with no way out turns an emergency into a debt problem, and in that case the right call is to your accountant or an insolvency adviser first.

Frequently asked questions
What counts as an emergency business loan?
It isn't a special product. It's a fast loan used for an unplanned cost. What matters is speed and certainty, which is why we use cash-flow loans (funded in hours) and property-secured loans (funded in about a day) rather than slow bank facilities.
Can I get emergency funding while waiting on an insurance payout?
Yes. Many owners borrow short-term to repair and reopen, then repay the loan when the insurer pays. A property-secured loan with an interest-only or capitalised structure suits this well.
I've been declined by my bank. Can you still help?
Often, yes. Banks decline for reasons we don't weigh heavily, such as recent losses, ATO debt or credit history. If you own property or your account shows steady deposits, there's a good chance we can find a fast option.
Can I get an emergency business loan the same day?
Often, on the cash-flow lane, if you have traded for 6 months or more and apply early in the business day. Property-secured emergency loans can be funded in as little as 24 hours.
What if the emergency is an ATO notice?
That is one of the most common emergencies we fund. A garnishee or director penalty notice has a fixed deadline, and ATO debt does not disqualify a property-secured application.
Do I need financials for an emergency loan?
Not for a property-secured loan. A cash-flow loan uses read-only access to your business bank statements instead of accountant-prepared financials.
Does it cost anything to apply?
No. There's no cost to apply or check your eligibility. All costs are set out in writing in your loan offer before you sign anything.
Will checking my eligibility affect my credit score?
No. Our 60-second eligibility check doesn't make a credit enquiry. A credit check is only done later, with your consent, if you decide to proceed.
