Short answer: No lender in Australia moves money instantly. What can be instant is the answer: Instant Business Finance gives an eligibility result in 60 seconds with no credit enquiry, a decision usually the same business day, and funds in as little as 2 hours on a cash-flow loan or 24 hours against property.

What is actually instant, and what is not?

The word gets used loosely in this market, so here is the honest breakdown of where the minutes go.

Why doesn’t the 60-second check touch your credit file?

The eligibility check asks six things: how much, what for, whether you own property, how long you have traded, when you need it, and how to reach you. None of that requires a credit enquiry, so none is made.

That matters because credit enquiries are visible to other lenders and a cluster of them reads badly. Business owners shopping around for urgent finance can do real damage to their file before they have borrowed anything.

A credit check happens later, with your consent, only if you decide to proceed. By that point we already know what your file looks like, because you will have told us.

It is worth knowing that this is not standard. Plenty of lenders run an enquiry at the point you ask whether you qualify, which means a business owner comparing four lenders in an afternoon can put four enquiries on their file before borrowing a dollar. That pattern is visible to every lender who looks afterwards, and it makes the fifth application harder than the first.

The two lanes, and which one you are in

Everything we fund runs down one of two paths, and which one you are in is decided by a single question: do you own property?

What slows an ‘instant’ application down?

Almost always paperwork rather than the lending decision.

  • Expired photo ID — check the date on every owner’s licence before you start
  • A business name that does not match the bank account name
  • An ABN that is not active
  • Directors or trustees unavailable to sign on the day
  • Bank statements from the wrong account, or a feed that will not connect
  • An exit plan that has not been thought through

What ‘instant approval’ usually means elsewhere

It is worth knowing how the phrase is used across the market, because it rarely means what a business owner reads it to mean.

Most often it describes an automated pre-qualification: a form scores your answers and returns an immediate indication. That is genuinely useful, and it is also not an approval. A real assessment still follows, and so does the possibility of a no.

Sometimes it describes an instant decision on a facility you already hold — a drawdown against an approved limit. That is close to instant, because the credit decision was made weeks ago.

We describe ours as a 60-second eligibility result rather than instant approval, because that is what it is. It tells you whether it is worth your time, with no credit enquiry and no cost. The approval comes after a person has looked at your position.

Instant answers, and the ones worth waiting for

There is one part of this process it is worth not rushing, and it is the part most lenders skip: the conversation about whether you should borrow at all.

A file that is genuinely a timing problem — money earned but not yet received, a deadline with a consequence, an exit with a date on it — is straightforward and fast. A file where the business is structurally short and the loan would simply move the problem forward a month is not a fast yes; it is a conversation, and sometimes a no.

That conversation takes ten minutes and it is the most valuable ten minutes in the process. It is also the reason we would rather be known for an instant answer than an instant transfer.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get an instant decision outside business hours?

You can check eligibility any time and get a result in 60 seconds. A written offer needs a person, so applications made overnight are answered first thing the next business day.

Are instant business loans real?

The answer can be close to instant — 60 seconds to see whether you qualify. The money is not: 2 hours on a cash-flow loan, 24 hours against property. Any lender claiming instant transfer is describing something else.

Will checking affect my credit score?

No. The 60-second check makes no credit enquiry. A credit check only happens later, with your consent, if you proceed.

What do I need to check eligibility?

Nothing but six answers. No documents, no cost, no obligation.

How much can I borrow?

From $20,000 to $5 million against property. Cash-flow loans are sized to your turnover.

Does it cost anything to apply?

No. There's no cost to apply or check your eligibility. All costs are set out in writing in your loan offer before you sign anything.

Will checking my eligibility affect my credit score?

No. Our 60-second eligibility check doesn't make a credit enquiry. A credit check is only done later, with your consent, if you decide to proceed.
